Today's post is a mini project of mine which I did whilst I was in Austria. The series of photos are of an abandoned farmhouse alongside the road. Northern Austria is considered to be the poorest region of Austria - although it is considerably flat, in comparison to Western Austria, hence more area for fields. This house is situated next to a forest, which we like to call the 'fairy tale' forest. I decided to explore the area surrounding the house after riding past it on my bike. The roof has collapsed completely, most likely due to heavy snow, whilst you could still look through the windows and see the interior of the house.
I find the house particularly haunting and thought I will edit the photos in black and white as they seem to portray it better. No one has bought the house and it is possible that it will be knocked down (with the land be used for agricultural reasons).
